For centuries, Native Hawaiian people have espoused the benefits of drinking tea brewed from the māmaki plant. Māmaki is culturally significant, found nowhere else on Earth, and has long been used for medicinal and ceremonial purposes in Hawai’i. Today, farmers like Matt and Andrea Drayer of Ancient Valley Growers, cultivate this nettle-less nettle for a new generation, using regenerative agriculture techniques for a more sustainable Hawaiʻi.
