OUR MISSION
To support the National Park Service in the protection, preservation, and interpretation of the natural and cultural resources at Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
The 2014 Youth Ranger Internship Program is well underway! This year, 43 youth graduated from the Ka’u and Puna Districts. After eight weeks of training, 27 high school students were selected to work in the park this summer. The Youth started work on June 2 and will be in the park until July 25. Please come visit these outstanding youth in all areas of the park.
